Holiday Photos from December 2011

We didn't get the chance to upload these great shots before Mayatan left for winter break, but we know that you'll enjoy them. Below, check out some photos from our Christmas musical, "Legado de Amor" (Legacy of Love) and from our Christmas parade through the streets on Copán Ruinas, which took place on December 16, 2011. We've also got a great video of the kids singing "Jingle Bells."

To set the scene, the Mayatan band led the march. Behind them followed the rest of the school, each class wearing a different style of Christmas dress or sporting a banner. In the middle of it all was a truck carrying Santa Claus, who threw out candy to eager kids that lined the sidewalks. Following the march, we gathered in the Central Park for more song and dance. It was a great way to get into the Holiday Spirit before break!
