About Mayatan
Mayatan Foundation is a registered, tax-exempt, non-profit, non-governmental organization working in and around the town of Copán Ruinas, Honduras, Central America. The Foundation owns and operates Mayatan Bilingual School, a PreK-9 private coeducational school. While many families do pay tuition for the school, approximately 40% of students receive some level of financial assistance from Mayatan Foundation in our mission of “Improving education opportunities for students from all walks of life”. Additionally, the Foundation organizes and hosts several community outreach events every year, such as free medical clinics, eye exams, and health education seminars.
