Who We Are

The Foundation is comprised of 16 Board Members including the three mothers who founded the school in 1991. Foundation members are unpaid and give their time and advice free of charge. Members join by invitation and are elected internally to positions within the Board.

The Foundation owns Mayatan Bilingual School and its elected officers, The Executive Direction, run the school - governing finances and overseeing general operations.

In addition to the Annual General Meeting, there are monthly Executive Direction Meetings and members are working behind the scenes every day to keep Mayatan Bilingual School and Mayatan Foundation up and running.
